For pleated, goblet, and ripple fold headers, we recommend a fullness ratio of 1.0 times the width of your curtain rod or track. For tab top and rod pocket headers, a fullness ratio of 1.2-1.5 times the rod width is ideal. For grommet headers, a fullness ratio of 1.5-2 times the rod width will create beautiful waves and folds when the curtains are closed. For flat hook and back tab headers, a fullness ratio of 1.25-2 times the rod width is recommended.

To determine the length, measure from the top of the rod to where you want the bottom of the drapery to be (1/2" above the floor or approximately 6-8" below the window sill) for grommet, rod pocket, back tab, and tab top headers. For flat hook, pinch pleat, and goblet headers, measure from the bottom of the rings to the top of the floor or window sill, and subtract 1/2" to get the panel length you need.
